Evidence-based approaches to Countering Disinformation - Webinar

On Wednesday 17 September, after the SCANZ Special General Meeting, Mandy Henk gave us a short talk on battling disinformation.

Mandy has been teaching and learning on the margins of the academy for her whole career. As an academic librarian, she’s worked closely with academics, students, and university administrations for decades. She is the creator and founder of the A Bit Sus programme which provides evidence-based education on counter disinformation interventions to a wide range of community and professional audiences. She also brings expertise with data-focused social media analysis and monitoring.

Her critical approach to technology and commitment to combining skills training with a deeper understanding of relationship between capitalism, imperialism, and digital technologies make her one of the few experts with a holistic and practical approach to today's dynamic and dangerous information environment.
